Technology supports and enriches students' academic experiences and helps to develop their critical thinking abilities. All classrooms and computer labs feature the latest computer technology and presentation equipment, including touch-screen "Smart Boards" in our kindergarten classrooms. A complete fiber network was installed throughout the academy to provide high-speed Internet access to every classroom. AACPA is also equipped with wireless laptops for classroom projects and mobile learning. In 2001, AACPA was named a Cox Model Technology School – one of only eight in the nation.
AACPA technology classes ensure that children have a solid grounding in skills such as keyboarding, word processing, spreadsheet applications, database development, Internet integration, multimedia applications and research strategies.
Internet security and safety is a top priority. No child is allowed Internet access without teacher supervision. The school also has sophisticated filters in place to protect children from undesirable material.
